WHO SAYS ART CAN’T BE FUNNY?
Seven performance artists explore the regions of humor and what tickles our funny bone in seven short comedic performances. Expect to see combination of everything from VENTRILOQUISM, KARAOKE, MUSICAL BALLADS, POWER POINT DISPLAYS, DANCING, VIDEOS to NARRATIVE RANTS. This evening is an attempt to expand the vocabulary of performance in various acts that are uniquely American in their contemporary forms.
This grouping of performers not only compliment each other but cumulatively transcend the notion of humor as mere entertainment in an evening of surprises and smiles. This is the second edition of LAUGH SATURATED. The first was presented at GRACE Performance space in Bushwick, Brooklyn on 10/1/2010. Laugh Saturated is an eyewash production.

Carla Rhodes is a rock ‘n’ roll ventriloquist & comedienne. She has appeared at establishments all over New York City. Most recently, Carla has launched a comedic rock opera entitled “The Continuing Story Of Carla Rhodes.” Dubbed by New York Magazine as one of the “Ten New Comedians That Funny People Find Funny” and The Villager says it best, “Rhodes is the Savion Glover of vents, almost single-handedly injecting a notoriously uncool and backward-looking performance branch with a badly-needed kick in the ass.” CarlaRhodes is certainly bringing ventriloquism screaming into the 21st century!
